When you report an issue through the Support launcher, a WayCool Support agent may send you a recording link instead of asking you to describe the problem in writing. The link opens CoolFocus as usual, but it also starts a short screen recording so support can see exactly what you see.
The link looks like a normal CoolFocus URL with extra parameters added, for example ?jam-recording=...&jam-title=.... Those parameters tell CoolFocus to load the recorder.
1. CoolFocus loads and starts the recorder.
2. Your browser asks permission to record your screen. Recording only begins after you grant that permission.
3. CoolFocus captures your screen along with console logs and network requests from that session, so support can see both what happened on screen and what happened behind the scenes.
4. When you finish reproducing the issue, you send the recording back to support through the same tool that generated the link.
If you are not already signed into CoolFocus when you open a recording link, CoolFocus takes you through sign-in and organization selection first. The recording parameters carry through that process, so once you land back in the app the recorder is still ready to go. You do not need to ask support for a new link just because you had to sign in.
CoolFocus only records when you open a link that the support team sent you as part of an active support conversation. It is not something that runs in the background or starts on its own during normal use. And it stops recording as soon as you click stop.
