Calendar Feeds

One-way calendar subscriptions for viewing CoolFocus appointments in Google, Outlook, or Apple Calendar.

Calendar Feeds

Calendar feeds let staff subscribe to CoolFocus appointments in a personal calendar app such as Google Calendar, Outlook, or Apple Calendar.

Feeds are one-way: appointments created or changed in CoolFocus flow out to the subscribed calendar. Changes made only in Google, Outlook, or Apple Calendar do not update CoolFocus.

Privacy levels

Choose the narrowest privacy level that still helps you plan your day.

  • Busy only: blocks time without client-identifying details.
  • Titles only: shows appointment type and time without full details.
  • Full details: shows the appointment context your organization allows on the feed.

Refresh timing

External calendar apps refresh subscription feeds on their own schedule. CoolFocus may update the feed promptly, but the calendar app decides when to pull changes.

Because of that:

  • New appointments may take time to appear externally.
  • Canceled appointments may remain visible until the next refresh.
  • CoolFocus should remain the source of truth for the current schedule.

Security reminder

Treat a calendar feed link like a password. Anyone with the link can view the feed at the privacy level you selected. Regenerate the link if it may have been shared too widely.
