Referrals, vouchers, and gap ministries help Love INC teams track assistance that involves outside partners or services the organization does not provide directly.
A referral connects a client to an outside organization, partner agency, church, ministry, or service. Use referrals when your team is directing someone elsewhere for help rather than providing the help directly.
Track the referral date, where the person was referred, the outcome, the client, and any related need or request.
A voucher authorizes goods or services for a client, often through a partner location such as a thrift store, food pantry, or gas station. Use vouchers when the assistance should be documented without handing out cash directly.
Track the voucher type, issued date, valid dates, description, earned status if applicable, and whether it was redeemed.
From a voucher segment, use the segment's Print action to open Choose a Document Template. The gallery for voucher segments now shows the actual Voucher (Print) template, the printable slip your partner location uses to redeem the voucher, alongside a blank document option.
Voucher Summary is still available as an additional template when you need a summary/report style document instead of the redeemable slip itself. It's listed separately from the main gallery so it doesn't get confused with the voucher document.
A gap ministry is a partner organization, agency, church, or service that fills needs your organization cannot meet directly. Use gap ministry records to keep service offerings, contact information, address, hours, criteria, and active status organized.
Use a Referral when you are connecting the person to someone else for help.
Use a Voucher when you are authorizing goods or services.
Use a Gap Ministry when you are maintaining the partner or service record itself.
Use Needs Met when your organization provided or fulfilled the assistance.
