Clients and Households in Love INC

How clients and households help Love INC teams understand who is being served.

Clients and Households in Love INC

Love INC work often starts with a client or household.

The client shows the person your team is serving. The household helps your team understand who else may be part of the same assistance story.

Why This Matters

Requests, referrals, vouchers, verifications, and needs met are easier to understand when they are connected to the right person or household.

One person, one household

Each person belongs to one household — their primary home. You don't add the same client to two households.

When a client is connected to another family, or splits time between two homes — a shared-custody child, or a client whose parent is a separate client — keep them in one household and record the second connection as a relationship. Open the client, go to the Relationships tab, and use Create to link them to the related person or household.

See Relationships and Households for step-by-step instructions.

Best Practice

Search before adding a new client or household. Duplicate people can split history and make assistance harder to review.
