A note in CoolFocus can be attached directly to a client (or any record), so it shows up on that person's history instead of being typed into a free-text box that goes nowhere. A linked note becomes part of the record's activity timeline.
Open the client record and go to the Details tab.
Details are grouped into sections (the first is usually General). Each section header has a small note (+) button.
Click the + next to the section you want the note under. A Note window opens.
Type your note and save.
The note is now linked to that client and appears in their activity history. Add as many as you need.
The same + note action appears on other records too — for example on a Request. A note added from a client's Details tab is linked to the client; a note added from a request is linked to the request. If a note looks like it's on the wrong record, check which record's Details tab you clicked + from.
This is different from a plain "Notes" text box you may see on some records (like an appointment's notes) — that's just free text on that one record, not a linked, timeline note.
