Customizing the Client Portal Welcome Message

Customizing the Client Portal Welcome Message

The Welcome Message is the text clients see on the Client Portal homepage after they log in. Organization administrators can customize it from the Client Portal settings.

Where to find it

Go to Settings → Modules → Care Settings → Client Portal → General, then find the Welcome Message field.

Rich text formatting

The Welcome Message field now uses a rich text editor instead of a plain text box. You can:

  • Format text with bold, italics, and other standard styling from the toolbar above the field.

  • Add line breaks and paragraphs, which display on the portal homepage the same way they appear in the editor.

The field still has a 2,000 character limit. If you go over the limit, you'll see a validation error on the Welcome Message field when you try to save.

Existing welcome messages

If your organization already had a Welcome Message saved as plain text, it is loaded into the new editor automatically the first time you open this page. Line breaks in the old plain text message are preserved as line breaks in the rich text version. You do not need to re-enter or reformat existing text.
