Center Statistics vs Center Overview — counting differences

Topic

Center Statistics

Center Overview

Offsite pregnancy tests

Included automatically

Include only if "Include Offsite Tests" is checked

Pregnancy tests

Counted by Test Date on the pregnancy test record

Counted by the visit date when the test was performed

Drill-down

Abbreviated board/donor summary (no client-name drill-down in legacy UI)

Blue underlined numbers drill down to client lists

A client can appear in Distinct Clients for the period but show fewer pregnancy tests if her test date falls outside the range while her visit falls inside it (Center Statistics).

Positive test section (Center Overview)

The Positive Test area shows initial assessment (Abortion-Minded, Abortion-Vulnerable, Likely To Carry), then "Now:" with current intentions. Example: "Abortion-Vulnerable Now: Miscarried" means assessed abortion-vulnerable with current intention miscarriage (final outcome).

At-risk clients who visited (positive test ever)

"At-Risk Clients who VISITED during this time frame, and have recorded a POSITIVE test" counts clients with a visit in the date range who at some point had a positive test — not necessarily a test during that range. It answers whom you served who is pregnant and at risk, even when the positive test was earlier.

Changed Minds on Center Statistics (ultrasound metrics)

On Center Statistics, Changed Minds (ultrasound block) counts distinct clients who had stated intentions Abortion or Undecided before the ultrasound and Parent or Adopt after. This total does not include every at-risk client — clients already life-minded before the ultrasound are excluded. Counseling or other factors may explain the change, not ultrasound alone.

At-Risk Clients (ultrasound) counts ultrasounds for cases initially assessed Abortion-Minded or Abortion-Vulnerable.

Current intention: Unknown vs N/A

  • Unknown — nothing selected for current intention.

  • N/A — N/A explicitly selected (no period after N/A in legacy copy).

Why monthly spreadsheet totals ≠ full-year Care Net

Care Net deduplicates visits for the same client and case across the range. January may show 1 client and February 1 client, but Jan–Feb together still shows 1 distinct client served — do not sum monthly Care Net rows to expect the annual total to match.

Prenatal vitamins

Count comes from Resource Provided named "Prenatal Vitamins" on the visit (Validation Tables → add option → select on visit Counseling Info). Same source on Center Overview and Care Net.

Material assistance & visit reasons

Record material assistance as a Benefit under Programs and Benefits on the visit. Configure Visit Reasons (e.g. Material Assistance) under Validation Tables so visits categorize correctly for reporting.
