If someone finishes creating a login and confirming their account, then lands on a screen instead of their new organization, CoolFocus is telling them their email is already tied to an account. The screen now names the specific problem and gives a way forward.
This appears when a different login already owns the email address used for sign-up. Nothing is broken: the fix is to sign in with the account that already exists instead of creating a new one.
The screen shows a Sign in to your account button that signs out of the new login and sends the person to the sign-in page.
This appears when the login itself already exists but the current session has no organization attached to it. This is not something the person can fix on their own.
The screen shows an Email CoolFocus Support button that opens a pre-filled email to [email protected]. Support can look up the account and restore organization access.
Both screens say "No new signup was created," which only means no second organization was set up, not that payment did not go through. If a card was charged during the attempt that led here, contact CoolFocus Support with the email address used so they can confirm the charge and connect it to the right organization.
A sign-up can be interrupted partway through, for example by closing the tab or a network hiccup, after the login itself is created but before it's fully connected to an organization. Trying to sign up again with the same email then hits one of the two screens above instead of silently hanging.
